WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Fluconazole is not indicated in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. If you experience symptoms of a serious allergic reaction after taking fluconazole, you should seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS:Dyspepsia (severe abdominal pain or bloating), Diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and/or diarrhea may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Do not use anti-diarrhea or opioid medications unless directed by your doctor. Contact your doctor if you experience a severe reaction (such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome or contact your doctor) or if you develop other symptoms of drowsiness while taking anti-diarrhea or opioid medications, including dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, or a rapid heartbeat.

Use of fluconazole while pregnant may cause serious drug-drug interactions, which may be fatal. This effect may occur when the drug is given in high doses, for example, more than 3 days. Patients should be observed closely during this period. Do not use fluconazole if you have or have had a stomach ulcer, perforation, or perforation resulting from surgery.
Fluconazole may be given during the second trimester of pregnancy. Fluconazole treatment for thrush is simple - just one capsule to be swallowed with a glass of water. You can take this medicine at any time of day, with or without a meal.
Women taking fluconazole should see an improvement within a few days. Some women will notice improvement in 24 hours.
For men, the condition can take a little longer to clear up. The symptoms should clear up within a few days, although this can take up to a week.
If your condition hasn't cleared up within one week, you should consult a doctor.
Thrush is an infection which can occur without sexual contact, so it is not a sexually transmitted disease. However, the infection can be passed on during sex, so it is recommended that you should not have sex until the infection has cleared up.
If you regularly suffer from thrush, then it's advisable that both you and your partner have thrush treatment at the same time.
Taking too much can make you unwell, so contact your doctor or nearest hospital immediately if you take more than you should.
As with any medicine, there are side effects. Although a serious allergic reaction to fluconazole is rare. Common side effects (occurring in one in ten patients) include nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, wind, rash and headache. However, these side effects are usually mild and don't tend to last long. If symptoms persist, or are particularly severe, contact your doctor.

If you are planning to have sex, you may want to limit how much Diflucan you take. This could help to decrease the chance of experiencing vaginal bleeding or other adverse effects while taking this medicine. You may want to have sex within the first week of starting Diflucan. If you experience vaginal bleeding, call your healthcare provider right away.
